Like the mold on blue cheese? This is a step beyond.
This cheese is set a side so that cheese flies can lay eggs inside the rind which then hatch into crawling maggots. The texture of the cheese becomes very soft, with some liquid seeping out. The larvae themselves appear as translucent white worms. Eating the maggots with the cheese or removing them first is a personal preference.
